Karen Potter is an experienced mental health nurse and wellbeing advocate, dedicated to supporting individuals living with complex psychological and emotional needs. With a background in community and hospital-based mental health services, she brings a compassionate, person-centred approach to clinical care and mental health education.
Over her career, Karen has worked extensively with multi-disciplinary teams to promote early intervention, reduce stigma, and improve the accessibility of mental health services. She has played an active role in developing therapeutic frameworks that integrate evidence-based nursing with empathy, communication, and respect for diversity.
Her international experience, including her current work in France, reflects her adaptability and cultural sensitivity—qualities that have enabled her to support diverse populations and advocate for patients’ rights in care planning and delivery. Karen’s passion for mental health extends beyond clinical work; she mentors younger nurses, contributes to awareness campaigns, and actively supports initiatives that promote resilience and inclusion.
