Recognising and supporting the people who care for us every day

NouZetwals is an independent Mauritian movement created to recognise, support, and celebrate the people at the heart of health and social care. From doctors, nurses, carers, and therapists to social workers, technicians, drivers, cleaners, administrators, students, and volunteers, we believe every contribution matters. These are the people whose work holds our communities together, yet too often their efforts remain unseen. NouZetwals exists to change that.

Our vision is to help build a society where care is visible, valued, and celebrated. We want the public to better understand the passion, compassion, resilience, and humanity behind these professions, and to help create a culture where people in care feel seen, appreciated, and proud of the role they play in our national wellbeing.

NouZetwals is a long-term movement for cultural change — one that helps raise awareness, honour people, and strengthen the future of care in Mauritius.
