Professor Paul Jebb is a highly respected adult nurse and thought leader known for his dedication to patient experience, workforce wellbeing, and compassionate leadership. In his current role as Associate Chief Nurse for Patient Experience, Engagement & Safeguarding, he leads initiatives that position patients, families, and carers as true partners in care, while fostering environments in which staff feel seen, supported, and inspired. Paul is also a Clinical Associate within the NHS England Get It Right First Time (GIRFT) Mental health Improvement team.

Over a distinguished career, he has held senior leadership roles across the NHS, contributing to national policy and frameworks in nursing professionalism and experience-based care. He is a Fellow of the NHS Improvement Faculty and holds the honour of Officer of the Order of St John, recognising his exceptional service and contribution to volunteering and the wider nursing profession.

Professor Jebb has received numerous awards and commendations for his leadership and innovation. In 2022, he was shortlisted for Nurse Manager of the Year at the Nursing Times Workforce Awards, recognising his excellence in team leadership and development. He is also a Florence Nightingale Foundation Senior Leadership Scholar, an accolade that reflects his commitment to influencing healthcare systems through courageous and values-based leadership. His initiatives in patient experience, volunteer engagement, carer inclusion, and co-production have been celebrated nationally, including recognition at the Patient Experience Network Awards.

In addition to his operational and academic leadership, Professor Jebb serves as a judge for national nursing and healthcare awards, lending his expertise to panels assessing excellence, innovation, and patient-centred practice. He also holds academic appointments, including as Professor of Practice at the University of Cumbria, where he mentors emerging leaders and contributes to research in experience-based design, compassionate systems, and workforce engagement. Paul also continues to be a recognised leader across the VCFSE sector within Lancashire holding several Trustee roles and chair of Board of Trustees.
