Dr Shaameen Rujbally

Coordinating Doctor

Dr Shaameen Rujbally is a compassionate and dynamic physician whose career bridges clinical medicine, emergency response, and international health coordination. A graduate of Fujian Medical University, China, she brings a global outlook to her practice, shaped by early exposure to diverse healthcare systems and a strong belief in equitable, patient-centred care.

After returning to Mauritius, Dr Rujbally served within both the public and private sectors, contributing to the COVID-19 vaccination campaign under the Ministry of Health and Wellness and later advancing to Medical Officer Team Lead at C Care Wellkin Hospital. Her leadership during these years strengthened her ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and to manage clinical services with empathy and precision.

Now serving as Coordinating Doctor at International SOS, Dr Rujbally oversees complex medical operations, emergency assistance, and occupational health programmes. Her work demands a balance of clinical excellence, quick judgment, and cultural awareness — qualities she embodies naturally.

Driven by purpose and compassion, Dr Shaameen Rujbally represents a new generation of Mauritian healthcare leaders who combine technical expertise with humanity. She is honoured to serve as a judge for the NouZetwals Health and Social Care Excellence Awards, celebrating those who bring courage, care, and innovation to the profession.
